What this page answers
Players usually ask a practical question: which Pal can fill the job my base is missing, and what level is that job? The Pal detail pages answer that from the local Palworld data snapshot. This page explains exactly what the work value means on the site and where the boundary of the evidence is.
The current local snapshot contains 299 Pal detail records and maps 12 work categories from the game data:
- Kindling
- Watering
- Planting
- Generating Electricity
- Handiwork
- Gathering
- Lumbering
- Mining
- Medicine Production
- Cooling
- Transporting
- Farming
Open the Pal encyclopedia, choose a species, and the Work Suitability card will list every configured job with its original integer level. A blank job means the current detail record has no assignment for that category; it is not a guess that the Pal is bad at the job.
How to read the level
The level is the value stored in the extracted work-suitability entry. The current 299-record snapshot contains levels from 1 upward; the highest observed value is 8 for most categories, while Farming tops out at 4 and Transporting at 7 in this site scope. Those are observations from this dataset, not a claim that every future version uses the same ceiling.
The site intentionally shows the raw level instead of inventing a universal “level 3 is exactly three times faster” rule. Actual base output also depends on the task, the assigned Pal, work conditions, passives, and game systems that are not represented by the compared Pal parameter table. Use the level to compare candidates for the same job; do not treat it as a complete production simulator.
Where the data helps
- Missing job: filter the encyclopedia or open a Pal profile to see whether the job exists at all.
- Same job, different Pals: compare the displayed level on each detail page.
- Need a complete base roster: use the computed worker tier list as a site analysis, then open the underlying Pal profiles before making a decision.
- Need to obtain the worker: use the Pal profile's map, level range, time-of-day rules, and breeding links. The map contains only positions present in the current extracted snapshot.
The worker tier list is not a game-file field. It is a site calculation over the extracted work and combat values, so it should be read as a comparison aid rather than an official “best Pal” verdict.
What the local game files do not prove here
This audit does not map a complete drop table, passive-skill catalogue, active-skill inheritance system, multiplayer state, or player save. It also does not prove a single production-speed multiplier for every work level. Those answers need their own source tables or reproducible in-game tests and are deliberately not filled in with estimates on this page.
The source snapshot is Steam AppID 1623730, Build 24467282, with PAK SHA-256 a82fee669e60558db5adc409c8607bb6c06b8a4d4c984317f9a37415461e7119. The Pal parameter and work records were last verified on 2026-08-05. See the version and data status page for the full audit scope.
